The World Manufacturing Conference was proposed by Global Chairman of the Global Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises and former German President Wulff, and sponsored by the Global Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises. The 2019 World Manufacturing Conference with the theme of "Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creation towards a New Era of Manufacturing" was held in Hefei, Anhui.
